At the time of celebrating the anniversary of the war of independency in 1848, on 15th of March 2006, just before the general elections in Hungary, people were at fever pitch.

The various ceremonies resembled to political demonstrations, as there was no more time, than one month to the elections, the political campaign of which had been the most violent which had ever been in the Hungarian public life.

Why do the people go onto the street on this very day? How the participants of the demonstrations actualise the significance of the festivity for themselves?

On 15th of March we were on the streets all day...
