Eszter Hajdú is a multi-award-winning documentary filmmaker.
Among many other honours, she has received awards at the European Parliament in Brussels and at the European Parliament in Strasbourg. She holds a PhD in film directing, and her background as a sociologist shapes a body of work that puts a finger on uncomfortable, often unspoken truths.
An independent professional, she has worked with some of the most acclaimed broadcasters and international film-funding institutions in the world. The producer and music composer of her films is Sándor Mester.
Her flagship film, Judgment in Hungary, won 19 international awards and was screened in more than 40 countries. Her specialty is the PSP — the Politically Sensitive Subject.

Teaching & talks
For over twenty years she has lectured at universities across Europe and led workshops and masterclasses for film students and human-rights activists. She is currently a professor of filmmaking at Lusófona University in Lisbon.
